Help Us Find a Cure

Glioblastoma, commonly known as glioblastoma multiforme or GBM, is a highly malignant form of cancer that affects the brain and spinal cord. Glioblastoma can affect anybody at any age, although it is more common in older people. Vomiting, nausea, headache, and seizures can all be symptoms. It is non-genetic in nature, quickly developing, and the reasons for its occurrence are unknown.

Treatment choices for glioblastoma include surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy; however they are not successful in long-term survival. The median survival time for someone with glioblastoma is 15 months but can drop to 3-6 months if patients are left untreated. It is estimated that more than 10,000 individuals in the United States will succumb to glioblastoma every year.

The Glioblastoma Research Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization raising awareness and funds for new global, cutting-edge research to find a cure for glioblastoma. The organization was established in 2018 and, to date, has provided support to doctors and researchers through three fully funded projects, donating over $130K in the last two years.

The Glioblastoma Research Organization serves as a bridge to connect those all over the world who are suffering from glioblastoma or have been affected by the disease. It provides a hub for communication where individuals in the same situation can share their experiences.
